People's Choice
On Saturday, March 21, you can begin viewing the ART work included in the "People's Choice" - a unique art exhibit in Historic Downtown Farmington. From the 21st through the Spring Art Walk on Friday, April 10, 57 Four Corners artists will be showing a piece of their work in 17 downtown venues. Register to VOTE (for your favorite piece of ART) at Three Rivers Art Center, 109 N. Allen, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. Also, pick up a catalog re: artist/venue info at TRAC, or other participating businesses. Art can be viewed during each venue's regular business hours. Visit all 17 venues for a chance to win a gift from a participating business!
Seven CASH prizes will be presented to the artists with the most votes at an AWARDS Ceremony at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 11, at the Farmington Civic Center. All are invited to attend. A Juried Award has been added to the event again this year. Santa Fe resident, Mary Beth Yates - fiber artist and educator, will view all ART work on site and make a selection for the Juried Award.
The First Place Cash Award will be sponsored by the Connie Gotsch Arts Foundation. Other sponsors for the event include the Farmington Downtown Association, the Three Rivers Art Center, the Fine Arts Committee at San Juan College, the Northwest New Mexico Arts Council, the Farmington Civic Center, the Farmington Daily-Times, Betty Reed - 3rd place prize winner People's Choice - 2014, and Kopy-Rite Printing and Graphic Design.

Dear NWNMAC,
First of all, thank you for your generous donation! With your help, we can send 10 Childhaven participants to the Up with People show; an experience of a lifetime. We will make sure to mention the Northwest New Mexico Arts Council in our show program as a ticket donor.
We will also join the mayor’s teen advisory council meeting on February 5th at 6 pm in the teen zone in the library.
We would love to do a presentation about Up with People (10-15 minutes) and use the screen for our powerpoint.
We will also do some fun international trivia with the kids.
It would be great if you could promote this event on your website! We’d love to have as many teens as possible come to the event. We will also bring flyers about the show to the meeting, as well as posters for in the library.
If you have any contact details for people at the mom’s groups you were telling about, we’d love to get into contact with them to give them the opportunity to become host families!
Finally, it would be great if you could send the e-blast that I attached to this e-mail out to all contacts from the library, so that we can spread the word about Up with People’s visit and our search for host families among as many people as possible! Also, could you post the message below on the library’s social media?
Once again, thank you for all your support, and if you have any other questions or suggestions, feel free to contact me!
Warm Regards,
Jinte
