Guide to the arts in San Juan County

Be A Part of the new Handmade Guide

Apart from being the first comprehensive guide to the creative community of Four Corners, “Handmade” is unique among free gallery guides. Most focus on galleries, venues, and events, but our focus is the many talented individuals living and working in the Four Corners. We have expanded on the usual visual art content of gallery guides to include any creative person offering a product or service that contributes to the cultural life of the Four Corners. It includes, fine artists, artisans, crafters, musicians, dancers, writers, filmmakers, etc. Our goal is to raise the awareness of the general population to what we in the creative community have known all along, you don’t have to leave San Juan County for culture. We will be printing at least 5,000 books for distribution through the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Final Deadline: March 17, 2017

Working to show locals and visitors; that the Four Corners is an arts destination.

“Painting, Music, Electronic Media, Pottery, Performing Arts, Historic Architecture; individually, these elements can energize, excite, and sustain imagination. When brought together, their power allows a community to celebrate itself, creating a common voice that blends history and art and culture into a unifying vision (NM Economic Development Department).”
